Hello,

I know that news like provided by RSS feeds doesn't have the same value than custom content. With the result that this pages are not so high listed in Google.

I want to select some of the articles from PHP.net and related an place them on my site because I think that visitors on my site are interested in this news too. (and I hope to get some more income with adsense).

If I mix this content from other sites on one page does Google recognize this?

No google can't recognize that.

Actually even if you use a comment system that your visitors will use, it would be ok :)

Yeah.

I believe the rumours are more intelligent that Google is.

And by the way, there is no problem with duplicate content either.

The duplicate content penalty means that your page will get a lower placement in the SERPs than the original one. Not that it will be banned....

I know that, But I like to have high listings too ;)

I read some day an article about someone who did a test:
He wrote a new article, published the article on his site and then submitted the article to directories. After several weeks the orginal was lower placed at google then the copies, hehe

This is because there is an algorith that decides what is original and what is not, which is not too accurate :)
