The question which is puzzled me is what useful information can be gotten from the cached time? Anyone can give me constructive viewpoint? Thanks in advance.

The cached time let's you know when your website was last visited by the search engine. So if you made some changes to your website's seo and your website gets cached, you will know to go check and see if you have gained some rankings or lost some.
However, the search engine may have to cache your website a few times before you see a change in rankings. Just be patient
