I haven't used it yet, but I am thinking to do so with their service that you can add your domain on them.
I heared that their antispam filtering is very good. Is that true?

I use Gmail.
It is not my primary e-mail account; it is the address by which I subscribe to various e-newsletters, bulletins, etc. The fact that it offers so much space means that I don't have to delete old e-mails to make room for new ones, so I can look up old newletters when I happen to be seeking information.

I use google talk in place of MSN, but its sucks if you have a browser window open and google talk (desktop application). Sometime you get parts of the coversation via the browser and the rest via google talk :(

That's OK, thought the same at the beginning. But I think that gmail is much better that a paid version of yahoo of MSN (and lots others). Of course it's not a replacement for your own mailserver

I have 2 gmail accounts, one I use as my main email, and one I use just for spam mail, which gmail is really good for, as it has lots of space so I don't have to delete the emails all the time, only do so every now and then when I'm in the mood ;D

Something else about Gmail...
Is there someone who lost his gmail account (or the mails) because of some error or problem?
I know about Lycos Netherlands that some people deleted several thousand free email accounts by accident.

I don't think that this can happen with Google.
Their whole infrastracture works with many mirror datacenters, so even if someone erased some accounts they could restore the information from the other datacenters.

I have a similar experience (I was an early gmail user) after the first period I forgot my password. The result 3-6 month no gmail until Google changed something with the google accounts. Suddenly the gmail account was back (together with another google service) :).
Nothing wrong woth the old mails they was still there.

I do not love the gmail interface. Just not intuitive to outlook users. I will store things there and use it for testing, but not as primary.

I was using it but with the current move of Google I am not going to use it. As my data and my personal on Google is really a challenge for me. Why they are demanding so many details while you use Chrome.
For me Yahoo is much better and simple.

Yeah Gmail is also my favourite because of less spam. But with gmail I also prefer to use Rediffmail.com. This one was my first mail account and connected with many social networkings and bookmarking websites.
