Need PHP/MYSQL Ninja For Fast Growing Net Startup - Canada

We need someone who is totally up to speed on PHP, MYSQL, XML, CSS,
Javascript (Ajax too!), and Web Services. If you dream in code, code with
passion and get things done, then welcome aboard. You'll also need to get along
with both non-techs and dozens of yummy linux boxes (RHEL/Centos), have a handle
on integrating tidbits of code from the work of freelancers, and have a clear
vision of what needs to be coded.



REQUIREMENTS



- God-like knowledge of PHP, CSS and hand-coded HTML

- God-like knowledge of MySQL and MYSQL optimization (we've got a huge database
with >150,00 members which is growing rapidly!)

- Experience with high-traffic, high-growth, community oriented sites a definite
asset

- Proficient in Linux (RHEL/Centos) and web server admin

- Minimum 3+ years of Javascript experience (minimum 3 months AJAX-specific)

- Very strong design and implementation skills are critical

- Experience with Distributed Sessions

- Experience with Distributed Content Caching

- Strong object-oriented analysis background

- Able to work with LEGACY code. Optimize, rework, and refine code for greater
scalability/modularity

- Create large scale and SECURE web applications to handle heavy user loads

- Trustworthy, reliable, honest and very conscious of overall security.

- Strong self starter who is able to hit deadlines and work well in team
environments



This is a full-time position with a monthly salary, and VERY generous
performance based equity compensation for the right candidate.
