Check out commission junction... you're bound to find something that's right for you there, the only thing you'll need after that is traffic.

DON'T check amazon. I think it is the worst affiliate program around.

actually, yohan, I made quite a pretty penny from their program. Don't look at the fact that they offer 4% - it's still good money when someone buys $150 worth of .NET books, as was the case a few days ago for me...

That's right.
The problem in this case is that the most consumers on this planet allready know Amazon, so they will go directly to them if they want to buy a book or something.
So you are targeting only to those that you will convice to buy something when they got into your site, and this is much more difficult.
That's why I personally stop using amazon some years ago.

Chitika is not an affiliate program, it is cpc.
And I am not talking for all the affiliate programs out there, I am talking about amazon which allready have several millions of clients, so it is almost impossible for you to create new ones.
yeah ur definately right about that. the net is so competitive nowadays everyone has a site
Yes, that is true every buisness man considering to own a website for web presence of his business. But only few are offering Affiliate programes. (from which actually you can earn something )

I have always seen these webhosting affiliate programs pay such huge commissions.. sometimes even $200 per customer. Has it worked out for any of you in this forum?

Not for me. I made some money with hosting when I got my own server.

What do you mean by that? Did you buy your own server and sort of sell web hosting packages? Or is it you saved that amount by switching your sites to your own servers?

I made money by selling web hosting.
Actually I did this (and I still do) for my web development clients plus the clients of other small developers that don't need a server yet.

i promote linkshare's merchants, particularly a phone company giving away a free trial of their service. i earn $10 everytime someone sign-ups. since my site is about free sms contacts or textmates, its easy to give them away.

My webhost offers an affiliate program. If someone clicks on the link on one of my pages and signs up for hosting within a certain period of time I get paid. The period of time with my host seemed pretty good, but I suspect the time would vary greatly from host to host.
The forums on my host would indicate that folks are successful with this.
That reminds me I need to get going and sign up for that.

I had picked my host without knowing they had an affiliate program.
Since it's my own host and the site I'm putting the ad on is geared for beginners, thought it was a good fit. The payout is good, so I figure the bit of time to put the link is worth the effort, even if I only get one referral a year.
