According to my certain experience there are various ways of getting back links. A person my do that by article posting, social bookmarking, forum posting and by blog making. Because these all provide the facility of link building. In this way a person may maximize the traffic toward a particular website.

And suggest that check everything carefully ~~~

Always go for organic (and quality) backlinks . Never go for automated backlinks system or purchasing backlinks, as they do more harm than good to your website.

forget about free backlink. in this world, nothing is good which can be get free. use your time and money to have good backlink.

As someone said earlier if you will use some automated programs to build backlinks it might result in geting you sandboxed. So if you are serious about your bisnes i wouldnt do taht in other hand if you are trying to create a one opage mini site and for example promote a product which is selling very well now and its popularity will drop wery soon it might be a good idea to use some black hat seo rank quickly earny some money and then get banned by google but it wouldnt matter then coz you have already earned what u aimed for and the product is not selling that well anymore. din simple words short term results for mini websites (black hat seo) long term plan for a big website which u are serious about white hat seo.

I do agree with the idea that actively participating to a community: a forum, a social network, some blogs you like to read is the most effective way to get organic links. But it does matter the quality of your participation: try to ask relevant questions and to give informative answers, don't just write generic posts.

Just read a very interesting post today - to save you time - the post only tells you about how to QUICKLY find a good list of sites to approach in order to get backlinks - IT DOESNT tell you how to get the actual links - now the reason I found this interesting is that its totally the right approach; If you have a list of sites that are A: of some moderate quality and B in your (keyword) niche then backlinks from those kind of sites are exactly what you need and want.  No its not the same as running a software that does blog commenting or some other spammy shit, so if thats what you are looking for this post wont interest you one bit. But I can tell you that once you know exactly where you'd like to get your links from, its much easier to formulate a plan for how to actually get them, and if you get some of them well then you end up with some  valuable links that will last you a long time more than likely as well - and if you do have the patience required - in the long run you will end up with a great backlink profile that will be doing awesome things for your rankings.
