Blog commenting is very similar to forum marketing however it is not as community oriented and exclusive. When commenting on blogs, be sure to include a link to your website at the bottom of your comment. Sometimes it is most effective to work the link into the conversation of your post instead of simply placing your web address at the base of your comment..

I don't think so...If you link your website at the end of the comment..it will not appear for sure. The moderator/Owner of the Blog would move your comment to trash/spam. If you are serious about Blog commenting strategy I would suggest you not to link your website at the end of the comment and NEVER ever discuss anything about your blog or product in your comments. I'm sure he will get pissed with your activity...so stay of out trouble. Just try to make use of the place given to link your website. it's more than enough to get a backlink & traffic from that website/blog.

As long is your comment is genuine, the owner will approve it!!! And placing links in comments is spamming.. its better to post url in the web site column.. which is present in almost all blogs!!

Thanks for the tips. Its always wise to use the key words and then giving link to your web site from there. It will work for both site visit and also for the key word count. While posting blog comment you also need to take care about the reply. The reply should be related to that post.

Blog commenting is the nice way for the getting one way backlinks for your website, But forums posting is the better than blog commenting.
The thing about blog comments is that almost all are NoFollow and the link juice is weak... When nowadays a lot of forums allow DoFollow links in the body of the comments and in the signatures. Finding DoFollow backlinks is getting harder and harder day by day...

Commenting on blog is nice way to get traffic and back links . But it is useful if your comment is genuine and original otherwise it is just spam. It is not advisable to post your site's link in the comment as it sees like spam better put your site's link in the website section.

Don't let your comment look like Spam also don't include the link in conversation rather include it in the website section also you may not get that much of seo benefit from blog commenting but if are comments are real and contains good info on the topic than people will visit your blog for sure

Hi, blog commenting is beneficial in that case when your not approving your self a spammer or a bot, if you add hyperlinks in the bottom of your comment then your representing your self a spammer.Try to make back links by adding your site in the third option of comment and make post related comment this is the best way to satisfy a blog owner.

As a blog owner, I am simply so tired with all the auto comments and spam. I am considering closing the commenting section all together.

As per my experience most of the blogs need to approve your comments before posting it. Only some auto comment blogs allow you to submit comments.

Overdoing blog commenting will be a very big problem.. Though this strategy will work if properly done!
