Nice site. But I have two things to suggest about it:

1) The font color is a little bad for my eyes. Maybe something lighter would be better.

2) You should check the template in big resolution. I have 1280x1024 and it doesn't look fine. Maybe you should add a limit to the right.

Hope my opinion helps Smiley

looks ok but to much use of blue, you need colors that fit together better then blue on blue, like white on black

I've made the background color a bit darker to make it a little easier on the eyes. Nikolas, thought you where talking about the site layout getting screwed up at higher resolution, seems to be fine though. What don't you like at the high resolution? Maybe you should check out that first article put on the site see how that looks...www.coralgrowing.com

In a high resolution, I don't like that the content takes a lot width. Maybe with a fixed width it could be better.

I've made it variable width so people running at low resollution will see it page-filled without having to scroll left-right. Is there a way to make it variable width up to a certain degree, say 1000 pix?

800 would be great.

If you want to make it more complex, you can check the user's resolution with javascript, but I think this is not necessery

1: Get some rollovers for the links
2: Some animation for that coral picture would look great.

The simplicity suits the theme, all in all, good job.

Since there are still a lot people using 800*600 resolution i think you might consider use lower resolution and yeah..like Nikolas said , font is a bit shaggy .

ppl who use 800x600 need to go ahead and kick it up to 1024 or what i use, 1600. but as for the site.. i think you shold use a little less blue as mentioned before, as well as add some more eye-catching graphics

I agree, white behind the text would probably look better. Do you have a cms behind this site or are the articles manually added to the site and menu?

I'm working on a CMS for the site, the menu is already database driven (php.mnu)

Actually it would probably be better for you to get a fixed table with of maybe 780; that helps out the people who still use (for whatever reason) 800x600 resolution.

Also, what's reeffarming? Did you mean reaffirming? Oh! Reef farming! Those need to be two words or people will think you can't spell or something.

Your news would look a little more professional if the dates were laid out like this: "Month Day, Year" or "Day Month Year."

I personally don't mind the color scheme that much. It looks nice.

Crystal, thanks for checking out the site. I know reef farming are 2 words and thats how it's spelled on most parts of the site. In the parts that have it spelled wrong this was done intentionaly (its a search-engine thing  Wink) I'm actually having the site professionally reviewed for spelling and grammar as I'm not a native English speaker.

I think that having wrong spelled words to gain some search engine visitors is not the best thing to do.

You can 'grab' those wrong spelled terms by getting a few directory links with wrong spelled anchor text.

Just a thought. Hope it helps you Smiley

No, on your banner it's spelled incorrectly. That's a professional problem.
