I am planning to publish a site with funny videos.

How much bandwidth I need for a site like that?

Can you tell me a hosting provider with low rates for bandwidth?

If you are getting into this serious, you'll need a lot of bandwidth and propably you must use a dedicated server for this.

An owner of a similliar site that I asked tolled me that he is using about 1000 - 1500 GB per month(that is really big number)

To give you an example to measure, I have a client that hosts a site which is a fun page for a basketball team, and it has a section with photos. This site is consuming about 1 GB per month, which is not too much but i telling you this to understand that a site with videos is difficult to be hosted on a shared hosting account

However I would expand your bandwidth as the amount to visistors comeing to your site grows. Other wise you'll pay an unnescary amount.

I agree with bobster, just start with a plan that has about 10GB bandwidth then slowly increase.

Yea you should have the financing for the bandwidth before you set out to do it. You might as well buy a dedicated server.

Yes you will need to make some money from the site or else it probably isn't worth doing. Videos will use a lot of bandwidth so you should really think of some way of making money.

That would be impossible, as there are thousands of sites that give these services for free. Take a look at Google

What you mean unmetered?

If the monthly bandwidth is about 1000 Gb it's ok with you?

you will need a hell lot of bandwidth if  you are going to make this kind of site, most sites like collegehumor.com and funnyshit.com get hundreds of gigs of bandwidth each day. I would recommend a dedicated server or even two. Try to set a budget for yourself and look through many places to see what is out their.
