Hi all

For the last couple of months we've been trying to create a city guide for Athens (www.yapoo.gr Visit through proxy)

We would appreciate any comments and feedback.

Thanks in advance

Cool site. Did you code it yourself or you use a CMS?

The whole thing... frontend, backend, cms, content, by myself. I've been working on this for 2 1/2 months... and I think I still have another 3 months to make it the way I imagine it...

That's good.

I am glad that one of the few talented web developers in Greece is member of my forum Smiley

Good work, keep it this way and the results will be great.

BTW are you working for a development company, or something? We could cooperate in the future. Where are you from?

Nope... freelancer. I've been working in London for few years and a year ago I decided that it was time to come home. Now I live in Athens

Looks Greek to me.  Roll Eyes (Sorry couldn't resist)

Layout looks good. Are you planning on the guide only being for folks who know Greek? I would think you could get a great deal of tourist traffic too.

When we first started building the site, it was based on two languages (gr, en).
After we started populating it with content, we decided for the time being to leave the Greek and remove the English.
Hopefully one day we can put the english back in

Maybe you can do something like topsites.

The greek version ( www.topsites.gr Visit through proxy ) has more content than the english one ( www.thetopsites.net Visit through proxy ), but they both are the same site.
