PHP Programmer - United Kingdom

Aardvark Media is a specialist web agency, formed in 1996, which develops websites and online applications with a emphasis on customer experience. Our clients range from Blue Chip multi-nationals such as Siemens and Generali, to medium size organisations like Harwin and Square Meal.

We have aggressive growth plans and are looking to recruit an experienced PHP programmer to help deliver our objectives.

The ideal candidate will have worked commercially as a programmer and posses a relevant computer science degree, they will be able to develop web based applications from the ground up when working with an HTML designer.

What You Will Be Doing

*Production of functional specifications for new projects
*Designing and implementing web applications
*Maintaining and improving exisiting web applications

Essential Skills & Qualifications

*Expert Level in PHP (3+ years commercial experience)
*Strong SQL skills with experience of PostgreSQL
*Excellent organizational and communication skills
*Independent problem solving skills; flexibility to meet tight deadlines
*Attention to detail and a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
*Ability and willingness to learn

Desired skills & Qualifications

*Project management experience
*Knowledge of AJAX, CSS, XHTML, Apache, Linux, WML
*Computer Science Degree
*Experience of application development with an emphasis on user experience
