Google + 1 allows you to publicly give something your ???stamp of approval??¯ on Google search results.  It is like personally recommending your choices to your contacts; an extension of Word-of-Mouth promotion...which means you are helping your friends like...??¯Wow, check this out, it???s so cool!??¯
A thing that gets +1???d more is actually a thing that is catchy and meaty. Such a piece gets more viewers and hence there is an increased probability of them being converted into customers.
You can add a +1 button on your blogs  to get feedback from your blog readers.

It creates awareness. It also allows a user to have a blog with a +1 theme. And you could also promote by using it.
