Just an FYI, a good place to find work for SEO is Doctors, Dentists, etc, their sites are usually not good, and they have money, plus if you make a mistake they will give you a chance to fix it.

SEO is not simple. however, if you work hard you can succeed. you need good amount of time to learn it and practice the same in your own sites. you need solid proofs to show what you can do. Learn it and try pacticing the same in your sites and keep track of it (what you do, when, what is the result, etc.)
