How To Promote An Arcade Games Site ?

What do you think are the best methods to promote an arcade games site ? I am looking to drive traffic to an arcade games site and I am eager to hear different methods which our fellow webmasters have tried and succeeded.

You can install a forum on your site too, which will take to build, but will bring a bunch of traffic, and you have to build backlinks to your site to appear in the serps so others can find your site.

Think about who your target customers are; arcade games will attract a certain type of person, so you need to be able to reach that type of person most effectively.  There may be related interests which might help in providing the right audience for any of your advertising too.

Try a few different methods, like those suggested above - some will work better than others, and adapt your marketing methods as the results reveal themselves.

- Purchase advertisement on a popular gaming site

- Social Bookmarking (Reddit, Digg, Stumble)

- Twitter (also add hash on words like gaming and arcade)

- Submit your website in gaming section at Traffup

- Youtube Videos (interesting and entertaining, related to games)

A good game will get you a lot of site traffic.

You could trade traffic and or buy traffic, sponsor games. You also could get links from other websites and have someone optimize your website for the search engines. Look up some info about SEO.

Create a fanpage in facebook, do a classified submission and tweet the information about gaming site in twitter you will get huge traffic.

Make yourself known within the gaming community. Become an active member on gaming forums and get links from other related gaming sites...
