Well it is a long time since we run our latest contest, and we thought it would be great to add a new one.

This time we need a logo for Instabuck. Instabuck is a new service that will enable all publishers of digital products (ebooks, designs, software, etc.) to sell online easily. The service will launch in a few days and I think it is going to be a very good item for your porftolio Smiley

Contest rules

  • Logo should be in vector format
  • There should be an icon on it and in general it must be unique
  • You can NOT use graphics from cliparts

Prize

The prize is $250 USD payable to your paypal account plus a lifetime subscription to Instabuck's service.

The winner will be announced on Monday, 17th of October 2011.

Good luck everyone Smiley

Icon: A cart to store ideas in it.

The font is Lobster 1.4 which can be replaced with any other font.

best regards
Toni

Simply playing with the buck symbol. It can work as an icon too.

Hello froi40!

You just need to get your image hosted on a free image host then post it on the forum using the "insert image" button.

EDIT:

There actually is an easier way to do this.

When posting look for the "additional Options" link right below the imput box. You've got a field named "attach" wich allows you to select a file on your computer and upload it to the forum!

Good luck!

Nice work Xaipe!

I beleive however that it's "Instabuck" and not "Instabucks". You might want to change this.

Good luck!

Thank you --- I noticed that when I saw the post and was the only one with the plural.

I also tried converting to vector form and cant seem to be able to save to a file that is readable except for .PDF.

does anyone know what file types that vector form can be saved in?

Hello Xaipe.

I'm not sure if I understand the question well. Do you want to convert your file to a vector format, or upload it to the forum in vector format?

You cannot really convert a bitmap file to a vector format unless you are ready to lose details in the process. It's best to create the file in vector format from the start.

I do not think you'll be able to post image on the forum in vector format. Or if you can, they'll certainly do not show directly "onscreen" in the thread.

Hope this helps answering your question.

Cheers!

I am unsure basically comprehend the question well. Would you like to convert your file to some vector format, or upload it towards the forum in vector format?

You can't really convert a bitmap file to some vector format unless of course you are prepared to get rid of particulars along the way. It is best to produce the file in vector format from the beginning.

I don't think you'll have the ability to publish image around the forum in vector format. Or if you're able to, they'll certainly don't show directly "onscreen" within the thread.

Hope this can help responding to your question.

Cheers!

If you are on a budget, Inkscape is a free alternative to Illustrator. (I do not have enough post on this forum to post a direct link, but a quick seach on google should bring up the inkscape web site)
