Web Applications Developer - Canada

Canterris, Inc. is a fast growing Content Management solutions provider that delivers value for our client?s by empowering them to more effectively create, manage and publish business content. We are seeking a Senior Web Applications Developer to join our rapidly growing software engineering team.

The primary responsibility for this position is to design, develop and maintain complex ebusiness solutions for local, national and international clients. The Senior Web Applications Developer will be also have an opportunity to be part of team that develops enhancements and subsequent releases of the Canterris enterprise content management (ECM) solution.
Duties and Responsibilities:

    * Development of Commercial-Quality Software
    * Interaction with members of other departments
    * Customer-focused continuation issues
    * Mentoring and knowledge transfer to other members of the development team

Qualifications:

    * MUST develop HTML markup in XHTML Strict/XHTML 1.1 and use CSS
    * 2+ years experience in Object Oriented Programming
    * 3+ years hands-on experience with web technologies - PHP, Apache, MySQL, & JavaScript
    * Strong experience with Web Services
    * Strong XML, XSL/XSLT, and DTD or Schema validation skills
    * Strong SQL skills with at least 3+ years of experience with knowledge of SQL99 standards
    * Previous experience architecting complex web applications
    * Familiarity with web-based testing and QA processes
    * Must have exceptional analytical skills, ability to focus skill toward solution-driven results
    * 5+ years experience in web programming
    * 3+ Experience with database design and programming
    * Troubleshoot and fix production bugs/issues
    * Experience developing on Linux (Red Hat Enterprise) and Microsoft platforms
    * Team player with excellent verbal & written skills
    * Demonstrated abilities in multitasking
    * Strong experience with both custom and open source solutions
    * Required business knowledge of digital asset and content management systems, customer relationship management and/or eCommerce
