how to solve Server Application Error

Hello to all respected members I face this error

The server has encountered an error while loading an application during the processing of your request. Please refer to the event log for more detail information. Please contact the server administrator for assistance.

You wont get much help without giving more specifics to your problem.

What is the server? What kind of app you were running? What kind of configuration you have?

If you own the server and have root password, it is better to have a look at the "Event Logs" file to know the exact issue. Check out the latest logs, there you will find what's the exact problem going on. If you don't have complete control over the server, ask your service provider to look in to the issue. I am sure the issue will get solve in few minutes.

I think this error is caused due to the .htaccess file backup your .htaccess file and delete it from the server see if the problem is solved.
