A friend of mine recently started a hosting company, literally a few days ago. I thought his site/company image could use some work.

I made this logo yesterday, let me know what you think.

I'd have to see it on the page to really tell if it would be a good idea. But it looks pretty professional.

It looks good! I usually start big too or better still I design new logos as vectors; easier to increase and decrease size!

If you are going to be only using this logo on the web, it should be fine. But if the need letterheads, printing on boxes, signage, you have to think about PMS colours and also restricting the colours to make it easier for printers and signwriters.

Maybe make some single or two colour samples too to see what they look like!?

Thanks for the comments everyone.

Wineo, you sound like you're in the business lol. This is for web only and it isn't vector because, well I'm just lazy and the paint brush is easier lol. However, if the client does want to get it printed up a quick trace with the pen tool shouldn't be a problem, that and a DPI change heh. I made it big for the reason you said, it got shrunk down for the layout, which I will be posting shortly...
