Application Developer - United States

Shipco Transport, a leading international cargo transportation company, has an immediate opening at our Mumbai office for an experienced application developer.

You will be a core developer and be a part of building the next generation of Ecommerce systems for the shipping industry.

You will work together with other development teams in various parts of the world, where it is important that you are an avid communicator and feel at home with the English langugage. At the same time, you have a passion for new technologies and developing good applications.

You will be the first member of our Mumbai team and the right candidate, who can work independently, can be given the opportunity to become a future team leader, being responsible for this location and associated team members.

Requirements:

- Extensive experience with PHP in an OO environment (candidates without PHP experience will not be considered).

- At least 2-4 years of (web) application development.

- Development experience with XML, HTML, JavaScript, CSS.

- Good working knowledge of SQL, preferrably MySQL.

- Good organizational & interpersonal skills and a good command of the English language, both written and spoken.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where deadlines are the norm.

Desired Skills/Education:
- Perl.
- AJAX.
- Linux/Open Source experience.
