We are currently seeking an intermediate software developer to participate in the planning, development, testing and maintenance of web applications, and at times lead some technical aspects of these projects.   Much of the development will be in a LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL/Postgres, PHP/Perl) environment.  You will be expected to stay abreast of developments, standards, and trends in the web technology both server side and browser based, and contribute ideas and innovations for projects and methodologies on an ongoing basis.

Specific responsibilities will include:

You will be part of a development team working on one or two projects consecutively in different phases of development.  Ideally, you compliment the Sr. Architect with your strong PHP and MySQL skills.  You will take an important role in the development of key software components of a web application highlighting efficient web based GUI Interfaces and graphical reports.  You will be the main contributor to the Testing Phase in terms of your leadership abilities.  You will also contribute heavily in the Implementation phase of the application while other junior team members will be redeployed.  You are an individual who takes pride in his/her accomplishments and demeanor is characterized by urgency, focus and discipline.

Must have or essential skills:


1.4+ years of experience as a software developer

2.User Interface/Usability experience: Proven experience in constructing interactive GUIs or Ajax experience is a definite plus.

3.Must have experience and expertise with PHP, MySQL Apache and Linux.

4.Experience with web development JavaScript, HTML, DHTML

5.Experience with web services in SOAP/XML-RPC is a definite plus.

6.Team player with strong communications skills, verbal and written.

7.Experience in the creation of testing documentation.

8.Demonstrated abilities in multitasking

9.Strong understanding of development and deployment processes of hosted web applications

10.Must have exceptional analytical skills, ability to focus skill toward solution-driven results

11.Strong experience with custom and open source solutions development.
