Yes you are reading good. I found this link on the blogsite from a employer of Alexa. http://www.alexadex.com/
It a good case study what you can do with webmaster services from Alexa. The most important thing is it's fun and you can learn whenever what site are visited the most (which days). You can use this information f.e. for banner campaigns.
try it but stay here ;-)

haha... I will definitely not take it too seriously! I bought my own shares for the100lists! They are on the rise...
Yes right, its just a game, some members of alexadex are already in a bad mood if the site havn't provided and update for more than one day, tsss...it's just like other online games just play and relax.

haha... is that so? So alexa updates everyday does it? I think that we need to come up with a game site with this concept!

I thought about to use this kind of data too, but you have to pay after a while (there is max. of free requests) and alexa does not update the data frequently, only the websites which are visited often with the alexa toolbar have good information.

I guess I should install the alexa toolbar then... although I am not keen on alexa tracking my every move on the web!
Hmmm... I might try this. Any reason not too? Other than alexa is still monitoring your moves?!
I use the alexa information to decide if a link trade is interesting or not (of course together with other sources) another usefull extenstion is this http://www.quirk.biz/searchstatus/
