A site can be visible right with IE but not so good with Firefox.

Do you validate sites in different browsers?

What browsers do you use to validate the sites that you design?

not only does each browser shows a page different, some versions of the same browser can show the page different too. for example, ie5.5 and ie 6.0 renders CSS a little differently, so pages can look different in these two browsers. so if you're concerned about cross browser issues, try to find articles or tutorials that can help you overcome these problems. I test my designs on IE5.0/5.5/6.0, Netscape 8.0.1, Firefox 1.0.6, Mozilla 1.6 and Opera 8.01. I also have an account at www.browsercam.com Visit through proxy where I test it out of different browsers and platforms, especially Mac.

I use Firefox, IE and Opera. I sometimes ask people with other OS and resolutions to check to see how the design looks.

I just check my designs in IE. I wasn't aware of how different designs could look. I will start using firefox to check them as well.

Here Visit through proxy is the official statements regarding IE.

I believe that this can be the typical statements before every product update Microsoft does.

You know they say how secure and bla bla bla is and after the release a 16 year old boy crack their program Smiley

I currently validate with IE and Opera and very rarely with Firefox! I should learn to use firefox more since more and more users are using it each day

I only use firefox to check my sites.  If you use IE you dont deserve to be there Tongue

Seriously, I check them with IE.

I develop only in FF and I use the CSS part of the developers toolbar to edit the CSS file in real time... and then I check in IE when I am happy with it in FF. I occasionally use Opera to check, but it is the worst browser out  Sad

I need to get older versions of IE, where can we download these older versions from?

I think that even if you find older versions it would not be installed on a single pc, as ie is part of the core of the operating system
