I think you need a secomd windows install ... IE is in windows a kind of part of the core system (I think win XP will not work without IE)

If you have to have a second windows install just for this then you should try vmware.

BTW I read in several blogs that IE7 is very buggy, so you better not install it on an important machine Smiley
