I'm considering going down the path of advertising through myspace which would require me to purchase a train adder script. Anyhow, I wanted to ask you guys is it worth it?
Everyone seems to be doing it these days and alot of places state that through purchasing their script you should get 1000 friends a day easy! I reckon this is bs though and i'd be lucky to get 500?
I'm looking to advertise my arcade website there.. What's your thoughts?

I am not really sure.
I had the same idea with you as I am going to start an arcade site too soon, but I've heared that those 'trains' don't really help as you need real friends and people that constantly visit your myspace page.
Hope there is someone here to explain us the facts of myspace promotions.

Yeah,
I'm considering purchasing one of the train adders but $10-20 isn't much money but I really don't want to waste $10-20 if it's going to get me no where. I've created an account and put a photograph of some bimbo and am using a trial train adder and we'l see how that goes! If I can pull some friends I'll consider purchasing the real deal.
At the moment I'm planning to personalise the page as much as I can, send some people messages etc but I have a feeling this isn't going to be a sucess! I really hope I can pull it off though, I'm after that 'initial' traffic for my site and I think myspace is the place..
Hit me up if you have any q's about arcades, I'm using php arcade script..

Maybe we can start experimenting with this thing, and see how it goes. I will keep you posted with my results when I have some.

Myspace trains are worthless.. Real people never join them, only other spammers do.
I recommend building a real account, with a real name. Not your website as the display name. Go to groups.. find a group that fits your niche, and manually add everyone in it. It will take more time, but you will get real people interested in your topic... not just a bunch of people that spam bulletins.

Thanks for the tip sportslitter.
I am too newbie with this "myspace" thing, so a guidance from someone who knows is allways welcome
BTW have you used myspace for promoting a website? What are your thoughts on this?
