Casey----I started doing that too the other day. My brightness level had always been set on the highest, and I have noticed an improvement when I toned it down a bit.

I was using TFT from the very begining as my father is very strict in these kind of issues. He is eye surgeon so you can expect such kind of strictness and suggestion.

I'm able to read on the computer longer when I enlarge the text size (press ctrl and the plus sign). It makes it easier to read because you aren't having to strain to see small text. This goes for reading books and printed media too; it's always easier to use a large magnifying glass, and especially enough light in the background.

Few things which can help you
- Buy at least 17" TFT Monitor - Use anti glare glass on your monitor - Take break on every one hour - Use comfortable chair and keep the minimum distance from your monitor - Eat green vegetables - Use some eyedrops to lubricate your eyes.

I wear eye-glassed. I have hypermetropia. Computers make it worse... but nothing to do - computers are everywhere.

I asked the same thing that, "When you use our eyes for long periods of time reading or using the computer, the circulation through your head area is high as brain activity is concentrated more there" since sometimes after a long thinking or reading day you notice that the top of your head gets a little warm? and it's just a rapid drop to the temperature on your eye and face area causes your eyes to refocus slowly than normal causing in a slight cross-eye feeling, you dont notice this but after you wash your face with cold or tap water your focus is a little late and you get a slight headache.

I also have problems with my eyes as I began to fail to see some subjects at the long distance.

Try lowering the brightness on your computer as well try to keep your room cool. Heat will also bring problems with your eyes. I once had the same problem, I just turn on my AC or open a window where fresh air is able to enter. Also try taking breaks and small naps so your eyes can rest.
