Spam ten millions with your offer (I'm just kidding)
Some other ways are :
1) Affiliate program (Make your own program if you sell something) 2) Join toplists 3) Digg (if you have some content that is usefull there

Nikolas: Have you had any luck with Digg? I have some article ideas but I'm not sure if they'd be as sucessful as I hope! The results that people have got from it though sound breathtaking! You know of any figures that people have experienced traffic wise as a result of having content on digg?

You can also give out a free wallpaper or screensaver which has a link to your site. The wallpaper/screensaver can be distributed via various free download sites. This has been quite sucessful for some sites.
If you have an utility script, that can also be given away free through sites like hotscripts etc. That should generate a decent amount of traffic.

Yes, offline advertising of websites can work surprisingly well. I have used very basic flyers to advertise some local affiliate programs. The clicks just trickle in over a long period. However, the quality of the traffic is much higher than the traditional online methods.
I think that this is because they take the flyer to the computer, type in the URL because they are genuinely interested and give it their full attention. But if they click on a link or an ad while surfing, they look for just a short while. They've probably seen 20 sites in the last hour, and will surf another 20 in the following hour.

Has anyone tried linkreferral.com? I've been doing it for about a month and I do get traffic if I keep up with the program!

Cindy,
I use Linkreferral and get quite a bit of traffic from there, but I wouldn't spend too much time on there. The reviews of your website are quite useful.
