I have started setting up a new off-topic (general discussion) forum knowing full well these are the most difficult to gain traction with.
I am looking for advice or ideas about the structure of the forum in terms of topics and categories.
If anyone has sample sites or suggestions I am open to them. I am not yet exposing the URL to my site as I have not yet finished setting up.

I would love to have some feedback on those too.
I've started a general forum before 1 month too ( www.gibberishtalk.com ) but I am not sure how to work with a site like this.
I think that you should start with the most general categories (music, computers, etc.) and as the site populates you can see what others your members would like to have.
Please keep us posted on this subject. I am very interested in this
