Has this ever worked for you? I have advertised my forum posting service website on several forums and have seen definate increase in traffic to my board, however, I can't say I have sold anything from them sources.

Has it worked for you. And if so, what are your tips on which forums to advertise on?

As you offer a posting service I would suggest you to go to webmaster forums (like this one) and make quallity posts, not just advertising posts.

This way the posts will be the best example for the people to see, and it will be easier to find clients.

Now if you have traffic, but you don't have sales, then the problem is that the site is not converting, so you have to change some things. For example in the first sight of your site I found one big mistake: Your front page does not have a link to buy something or any price, but it has content. People who want to buy from internet, want to do this with 3 clicks as they are hurry (the internet buyer in general buys from internet because of the price and the speed)

So my advice regarding your site is to reduce the content in the first page, and add some banner rentacles with your best offers.

Hope my post helps Smiley

Thanks, your comments have really helped! I have decided to list my best seller package, and then a few of the large packages on the homepage to try and attract more business.

Well the most important thing about forums is that they are communities.

That means that there are members, posts, etc.

So when you start a forum you can't help it if there are no posts in it.

A paid posting service is a good way to start off.

because useful, informative and relevant posts attract new members... i get it now. so basically, it is just to jumpstart a forum and it is not forever paying members to post.

Of course. If you do that forever you will never make profit from your forum (and after all if it is a good one, people should post anyway)
