Hope this year I will switch OS for ever.

Linux is not that bad anymore, and it has everything that you have in Windows (and thanks to WINE you can run Photoshop too Smiley )
The bad point is you loose a lot of knowledge, if you stop with windows and most companies are still using this OS

You need some time to see how it works, but believe me it is much better.

For personal use try an Ubuntu distro. It is very user friendly.

yes looks good how about drivers for new hardware, that was a problem a year ago...

Right now is not that big.

And there are also some tools (don't remember the name right now) that load windows drivers too Smiley

Plus hardware vendors now support linux more than before.
