Hello,

is there a open source script or tutorial to build an Ajax search field like this one?

You can do that with scriptaculous (it is a library-framework based on the prototype library)

Check the demo : http://demo.script.aculo.us/ajax/autocompleter Visit through proxy

I prefer the prototype and the scriptacoulous libraries.

They have a lot feautures, they both used in the biggest ajax projects and they are cross browser compatible.

it looks like that the php community in greece is a little diff. Cheesy lol.

you know ajax is also the name of the football club from amsterdam (I think that's th reason why many dutch geeks are very busy with ajax)

There is no php community in Greece. There are not so many people that 'talk' php here, but there are a lot that are busy with the football AJAX Smiley
