Good question! I would be interested in your answer too. I am sure that it is only a guess and would not be too accurate...

well, that is 'main stuff', how we do that? It isn't just 'guesing', webRanker gathers data from many sources on net and than usign alghoritm that we were work on whole 1 year and still working on improving, calculate some site NUMBER OF VISITS. Point is in gathering data from more than 50 sources including ranks, number of links,(links to, links from) etc,etc,etc and using those data in our alghoritm. On that way in most cases webRanker will give You pretty close information about some site visits. For now most of our users are amazed with results, but thats nothing thanks to all who using webRanker and leave feedback to us in next few months will be more precise, our final goal is to make service that predicts traffic with +/- 10% mistake.
I think that is no reason to talk about usability of this service: buying/selling deomain, info about Your cometition, checking advertising sites traffic,etc,etc...
I understand You interesting to know how webRanker finding real number of visitors for some site, but that is all that I can tell You, everything else is top secret

Interesting concept, and it is true that it would be usefull for many people, but still it has a lot of work.

I've tested some websites, and the results were very inacurate.
