As you may know, google uses DMOZ's data for the descriptions of the sites in their index. This doesn't rank you worst or better, but it may affect the traffic(CTR) that you get from the queries you are in, as the description of DMOZ may not be the best for your site.


As mentioned in the google sitemaps blog, now it is possible to 'say' to google not to use the DMOZ description, and grab the one that can find in your site.

This can be done by adding the following tag in your page :
