Well I just visited www.adsense.com which is a domain that created at 23-Feb-1997, long before adsense program created.....

If you think you can get rich quick placing other people's ads on your site or blog, please contact Google who has taken and used our business name without permission or compensation.
I think that Google owns the merk right on adsense, and maybe this guy is asking to much money for this name

Yes, Google has registered Adsense as a trademark. But since the other company has been around for a longer time they can't be stopped by the trademark. Have you ever checked out the history of adsense.com at waybackmachine? Looks like the site has been looking like it does now for the past 8 years. With a pagedesign like that I don't think they will get many customers, they need a redesign of their site. I wonder how much traffic adsense.com is getting from people looking for Google adsense... The site is getting a lot of traffic according to Alexa.com. Maybe their new sitedesign should incorporate Adsense ads

yes I have seen the spike as well, still 40,000 is a lot of traffic for a site as basic as theirs...
