The above ad was a regular 728x90 advertisment.

yes it looks like that in case of to mucj results there are already categories and the visitor can further to get right information...

I thought that happened becuase there wern't enough ads to show and so they showed them?

also Google recently launced a campaign where they include thumbnail images about 1 cm x 1 cm in size. i saw them appear in one of my site but not too often, in the leaderboard format.

Yeah I saw those too. I guess they are experiment with new ways that make better CTRs, and I am very happy with that Smiley

me too since i was also planning to put thumbnail images near my ads to increase ctr. i hope they will make this feature mainstream.

Just noticed that Google is now doing what many sites have been doing for quite some time: add pictures next to the text ads.
