Applying ICON imge based off condition

Hi All

Using Olaf's Access_User class, which works great, and I am fairly new to PHP overall. My question is, that I have setup a MySQL database for users and groups and would like to know how to add an small ICON image next to a field based off a value for a user field. Does this make sense? So if a user enters a number 1 and the field should be a 2, I want a little checkmark to appear to the right or left of that field indicating that it is flagged and incorrect

Also would like to change the background color of the field....but do not know how

I think this is similar to what you try to do... if you need some better form validation then try this class:
