Hi,

My first (public) wordpress blog, I used a commercial theme to get some graphics and added my own banner and changed a lot of the CSS,

What do you think?

I like it.

It would be better if the side bar was on the right side of the page, but it is cool anyway Wink

I think that by adding some color (maybe a bit of orange, )
will do a lot for the look. Otherwise a picture or 2, or a few
small andf nice banners. Whatever you choose.
In my opinion - right now it is kind of insipid

Hi fortgo and thank you for your advice.

I posted this thread to get a review for a customized template for wordpress three month before and I used afterwards an existing opensource template because the first one doesn't support all WP features.

I will create my own template later (if I have the time) and in the meantime the current one have to work.

By the way banners are not really made for blog sites because people come for one story (and maybe a second) and they ignore most of advertising stuff.

Hi Olaf,

hehehe, in fact I placed the banners as the last option
because of this - people don't see/click on these them at all.
I mentioned it only because of the usually strong colors they are
designed with. About a WP template, have you checked the
once here http://www.emilyrobbins.com/how-to-blog/comprehensive-list-of-615-free-wordpress-15-and-20-themes-templates-available-for-download-266.htm? Visit through proxy
