Just starting a website design linked here Visit through proxy.  The style of the site is to be "traditional". 

I need advice on the colors.  Do they work?  Change which color to darker or lighter to improve the design?  Which color does not match the site?  What about the background gradient and drop shadow?  Note that I am using two font faces.  Serif for external text and San Serif for internal text.  What do you think of that?

I think it can work with a traditional site.

But maybe you should post again when the site is ready.

BTW the background leaves a blank space in right in high resolution (1280x1024)

Nice, If that brown border is an image maby add some texture to it in photoshop.
