Hello,

if I visit a page then my IP address is registered inside the logs, so far so good.

but if someone has placed an image from site A at site B the IP address from site B should be registered in the logs of site A or not?

if you mean that he placed an image in the html code (<img src="B/......) then the logs of site b, will still have the first ip adress.

The referer is what you are looking for Wink
but the referer can be fake...

I checked the following, I created a file on server A showing the varialble "$_SERVER['REMOTE_ADR']" and open this file with file at server B than will show up the IP address from server A.

If I do the same with an (dynamic) image it the REMOTE_ADR from the visitor is logged (that strange I think)
