Okay, out of curiousity, I decided to try SMF on a different server just to see how it would work out.

I didn't have the 500 Server Error this time and it appears the install went correctly.

However, I'm having a new problem.  The links give 404 errors if they are clicked on.  You can see that here:  http://www.ewebjunk.com/forum/archive.php

Does Archive For SMF require the use of the SE Friendly URLs in SMF?   I ask this because the errors and URLs look very similar when I turn on SE friendly URLS.   Because of these errors, I, unfortunately do not have SE friendly URLs turned on for any of my SMF installs.

Anyway, just a theory.  If that is the solution, then I know I need to figure out htaccess or whatever to make sure SE friendly URLs work.

The archive script does not requires search engine friendly urls, and it actually detects the configuration regarding the links in your site.

It appears that your board has some modifications, or it is misconfigured, but anyway to fix this just find this line in the script :

Code:
//URL types :
if  ( (!(strpos(php_sapi_name(), 'cgi') !== false) || @ini_get('cgi.fix_pathinfo') == 1) && strpos($_SERVER['SERVER_SOFTWARE'], 'Apache') !== false )
$URLs = '/';
else
$URLs = '?';

and replace it with :

Code:
$URLs = '?';

Let me know how it goes Smiley

Awesome!  I'll give it a try today.

I'm not sure about the misconfiguration.  I wouldn't be surprised, since I set it up, but it everything on the forum tends to work.

I do have the SMF shop mod.  Then again, I have that on my other forum that ended up working great.
Hmm.  Oh well.

Thanks,
Brandon
