try to switch this setting:
var $os_system = "linux"; // switch between "linux" and "win"

"win" is using fsockopen and will work on linux machines too

if you use the "linux" mode on a linux host whithout access to the command-line all queries are negative

Changing between win/linux still brings back the result for .eu negative.

Could this be a permissions issue with my host? Such as not opening port 43 on the server or allowing command line?

Thanks for the replies
