just added the link for my wordpress blog: http://www.web-development-blog.com/ Visit through proxy

it works perfect, easy to add and the links are working fine, the best at all is that the script selects autotaicly the top story from the page

My first comment was very positive about this tool but the generated wordpress code is not valid:

try this one (I added also dzone to my list)
Code:
<ul>
  <li><a href="http://www.blinklist.com/index.php?Action=Blink/addblink.php&amp;Url=<?php echo get_permalink() ?>&amp;Title=<?php echo rawurlencode(the_title(""""false)); ?>">BlinkList</a></li>
  <li><a href="http://del.icio.us/post?url=<?php echo get_permalink() ?>&amp;title=<?php echo rawurlencode(the_title(""""false)); ?>">del.icio.us</a></li>
  <li><a href="http://digg.com/submit?phase=2&amp;url=<?php echo get_permalink() ?>&amp;title=<?php echo rawurlencode(the_title(""""false)); ?>">Digg it</a></li>
  <li><a href="http://ma.gnolia.com/bookmarklet/add?url=<?php echo get_permalink() ?>&amp;title=<?php echo rawurlencode(the_title(""""false)); ?>">ma.gnolia</a></li>
  <li><a href="http://reddit.com/submit?url=<?php echo get_permalink() ?>&amp;title=<?php echo rawurlencode(the_title(""""false)); ?>">reddit</a></li>
  <li><a href="http://myweb2.search.yahoo.com/myresults/bookmarklet?t=<?php echo rawurlencode(the_title(""""false)); ?>&amp;u=<?php echo get_permalink() ?>">Yahoo MyWeb</a></li>
  <li><a href="http://www.dzone.com/links/add.html?title=<?php echo rawurlencode(the_title(""""false)); ?>&amp;url=<?php echo get_permalink() ?>">dzone</a></li>
</ul>

olaf-

I'm the creator of the tools. Smiley  What problem did you have?  It appears that you are using different code to pull the title.

I think the issue comes down to where you put the code.  The social bookmark code should be associated with the post.  Putting it in the sidebar will cause problems if there are more than one post on a page, like the homepage.

I suggest putting the bookmark code in somewhere in the post loop.  Example, before the comments.

If you want the social bookmark code in the sidebar, then I recommend not showing it on the homepage to avoid confusion.

Thanks

Hello,

I started with your code but the url wasn't valid according w3, so I used some other arguments for the function the_title and added the encoding function, this way it works and the html is valid.

You script works fine for the frontpage to becasue always the last story is used in the url

So there was no problem other than the fact that the URL wasn't valid according to the W3C?  It still worked right?  Just making sure.

Thanks

as I said, the tool works fine and is easy to use....

remember that by default there is link within the wordpress blog to the w3 validator, people don't like it if webpages are not valid but suggesting valid code by this link...
