Hi,

I added a floated button to the footer of this page:
http://www.1linkdirectory.com/ Visit through proxy

strange is that the text is moving 50% of the image to the left, strange or not?

the html from the footer:
Code:
<div class="bottom">
  <span style="float:right;margin-right:10px;"><a href="http://info.vilesilencer.com/" title="SEO Friendly Certified by Info Vilesilencer"><img src="/templates/FireAndIce/img/seo-friendly.gif" alt="SEO Friendly Certified" width="88" height="31" style="border:0;" /></a></span>
  <a href="http://www.1linkdirectory.com/news.php">News</a> |
  <a href="http://www.1linkdirectory.com/ppolicy.html">Privacy Policy</a> |
  <a href="http://www.1linkdirectory.com/pterms.html">Terms of Use</a> |
  <a href="http://www.directorycritic.com/rate/1047500-1-Link-Directory.html">Rate this Directory</a>
  <div class="copyright"> &copy; 2006 powered by finalwebsites.com</div>
</div>

an this is the CSS for "bottom"
Code:
div.bottom
{
background-color: #FDFDFD;
border-top: 3px solid #989898;
clear: both;
color: #6D6D6D;
font-size: 10px;
padding: 10px 0;
text-align: center;
}

nothing special, maybe its because the parent element is a table cell?

If I got it right, then the problem is the padding: 10px directive.

I think if you put it to 0 or another value less than 10 it will be better.

no, doesn't worked...
I added some padding values to correct the position (it's quick and dirty)

I don't hate CSS but I hate this bad web developers using strange code for their design templates in commercial projects (Link directory software, website templates etc.)

I will create my own html/css code after the next update of esyndicat...
