Forum Affiliates. Are there any forum that I can affiliate with?

I have heard this is a good way of promoting a forum.

I am thinking of posting his link on my site and posting my link on my site. Like a link exchange. I am not really sure as the article I read ddn't mention what 'affiliate with other forums' mean.

Can you clear this out for me?

and what do you what will happen?

Edit: I think a very good promotion for a forum are th user forums here, while supporting the user of my scripts I referred more then 100 members here...some of them are posting here about other threads too...

Forum affiliate systems, is a different thing that what you think Providence.
