You know the USB flash drives, or thumb drives, or whatever you call them.  I see people copy things to it and just pull them out.  But before I pull them out, I always go to "Safely Remove Hardware" in the system tray and disable the drive first.  People say that I'm being too conservative and that I really don't need to do that.  What do you think?

You shouldn't listen to those folks, because there is a chance to get your flash drive burn if you don't go to "Safely Remove Hardware".

Once I lost an external drive this way.....

If you write to this disc than its possible that you loose this new data if pull the stick out of his slot without "SRH".

use sony memorystick pro, there is no problem with that Wink
