Get your site reviewed!

So I just joined this competition here (see: blogotition) and figured that I might as well let everyone know what I do.  I review websites.  You send me an email, I take a look at your site, and I tell you what you need to fix.  I don't pull punches, I don't sweet talk you and sing you lullibies, I won't powder your bottom, I'll give you the straight dope with a spoonful of lime juice to help it go down. 

Yeah, I catch a lot of flak for having my site on Blogger and the whole "why don't you practice what you preach" crap, but honestly, I don't even have the time to write the reviews, so creating a full scale site is probably out of the question. But, I do it anyways because I enjoy helping people, and I don't believe that my not actually doing what I'm saying you should be doing has any bearing on the validity of my advice.

So if you're interested in having someone tell you what's wrong with your site (and all of us do), check out Fix My Site and send me an email, or just go there to loiter and make trouble, whatever tickles your pickle.

Have you ever done a good critique?

I mean a review that you say only good things about the site you are talking about...

where i only say good things? mmm, probably not, because there's always something to be fixed.  however, if you read deep enough, you'll see several positive reviews.  if the site is good, i say so.  it's just that sometimes people need to hear the honest truth about their sites from someone who does not know them.  you really think your mom, girlfriend, or buddies are really going to tell you, "yeah, your code sucks."  of course not.  that's what i'm for

And indeed this is needed.

When someone asks my opinion I will do this too (I mean I will try to tell them that they need fix) and this is the only way to help someone (even that it hurts a little....).

I think its OK to get some critique, but in my case I'm a little affraid to ask you to review one of my sites...(I think that get a lof of .... over me because of my bad english)

well your site design is so simple .. and the content of your site does not interest me .. as it is common for people to make mistake .. and if their brain capacity is up to the extent only .. but probably they know something that you dont ...
as they say .. better to look at yourself first before you judge others .. because mostly .. people who does what you do .. are people who commits the same mistake as what they have been judged ...

you didn't understand what he is doing, people ask him to review their sites this way...

i guess my site is not for you.  i'm sorry you don't like my writing style.  but guess what? i don't like yours either.  your use of the ellipse (when you do, in fact, use a whole ellipse) is a horrifying example of people getting pushed through the education system without actually qualifying for each level. 

why don't you send me a link to your site, and i'll do a review for you?
