Somehow ended up on a blog that led to a BusinessWeek article discussing this program.

The idea is that someone offers a pre-determined amount of money to bloggers in exchange for a post about their product or service. The advertiser gives instructions as to what they want which based on the PayPerPost forums seems to vary greatly. Once the post has been online for 30 days, the poster gets credited/paid.

A quick look at the opportunities list seemed to show a wide variety of possible topics.

The BW article and many of those commenting on it saw this as a terrible breach of faith and the beginning of the downfall of the blogosphere. (Oh, some folks are so over-the-top dramatic about things.) The negative comments primarily came from the lack of a requirement for bloggers to clearly state they are being paid for the post - it is left to the descretion of the blogger.

So, anyone here tried this? Comments?

The fact is that there is a lot of buzz around this company latelly.

Personally I can't have an opinion as I am not the kind of person that could do this job (you know how bad my english are)

The only comment from me is that I don't like the site of that company, but that is inrelevant with what we are talking now.

BTW Michelle I know you are a great writer. Do you plan to try this?

If it is a question about credibility then there are also quite a number of other blogs that do this. If you visit the marketplace at DP, you will find a large number of webmasters willing to sell a post on their blog for money. As YMC said I think some people tend to make things over dramatic.
