is there a decent, easily implemented, unbranded non database site search?

the site is plain html, but php is installed - converting the pages to php is really an option at this stage however

i was thinking something along the lines of a dreamweaver extension or similar..

I don't think there is an easy solution (or DW extension), I stopped searching some years ago sinds most of them doesn't search like you want.

My suggestion is to use the site search feature from google...

Without a database, this is propably not an option, except if you use a search box from google that searches in your site.

If you have database and php, maybe this can help : http://www.cs.ioc.ee/~ando/sphider/index.php Visit through proxy
