Today I made this up and thought to share it with you.

Just visit this forum as a guest and you'll see what I mean.

The guests will see a very big advertisment that indicates that if they register to the site, will get some prizes.

I can't say anything about the results of this method, as I've just implement it.

I will talk about this when there will be some results.

As for the implementation it is really easy. You should edit just the overall template file of your board.

I think this forum will be a good community for experienced and beginning webmasters to help each other grow.  Keep it up!

I have added a bar to my site (similar to the IE toolbar that appreas as an alert) to attract guests! I find it a really nice way to attract guests

That's a very helpfull advice, and after all it is true that there are so many forums out there, that you have to put something unique in order to make a new one work

Yup, I joined this forum because i was told "that forum webdigity has some cool contests and they give away prizes"  .. or something similar to that Tongue  I've found a lot of very imformative posts browsing around here.  Nice work Nikolas Smiley

Yeah, that is an excellent idea. What I recommend is you just attract guests with a really cheap, but desirable prize, a perfect example being a free textlink for advertising or something like that. As long as it is a good forum, the member will probably stay.
