I don't get it. What is the opportunity for us?
maybe more video content for use? adding video streams to our websites while using our google account?

Na, they want to share revenue with the users that upload videos. Maby a sort of ad program for YouTube users?
be sure youtube will become google video or "Google broadcast" in max. 5 years everyone is watching google videos

after that Google will sell ads that will be added to each video Grin

I just keep wondering what the 2 young fellows who invented/started UTube are going to do with so much money.

The nice thing is that there are still things on the net that could truly become the next great thing.

We've got such a diverse group of talent here - surely we could come up with something?

There's no way G would invest that much without a plan to monetize it. It most likely will never be the same and will probably lose alot of it's spirit.

According to some news Ive heard, youtube hasnt posted much of a profit since its a grassroots type of service. If google starts serving up ads in youtube, they shouldnt be too obtrusive so it wont turn-off users. They acquired youtube since there plan for google vid wasnt as successful... wait till the net will be monopolized...

That's right. Google is not trying to make money. They allready have their ads attached on any site.

Their objective is to takeover the web. And they know that they need to have every powerfull web site to achieve that before the other big companies wake up....
