It's time to use PHP5!

Hi,

the last few weeks I did a lot of customization inside the esyndicat directory script. This application is using Smarty and actually I like the way of using a template.

In the past I used a more old fashioned dynamic coding style without the use of a template engine for my own projects.
I think I have to change that to get more flexible and to use also technologies like caching.

what is your favorite template engine? I think I will go for Smarty...

phpbb has a very slow template engine, because it parses the files, instead of including them.

Smarty has a very good reputation, but I haven't used it before. Maybe I should try it.
